INGAS is proud to offer in house dual credit as well as dual credit opportunities with external/online institutions that INGAS has partnerships with including Ivy Tech and Ball State University.
Our in house dual credit opportunities are US History, Economics, College Algebra, Trigonometry w/ Analytic Geometry, Calculus, Principles of Computer Science, Intro to American Government, Reading Writing & Inquiry, English Composition, Rhetoric & Argument, Intro to Literature, World Literature and Intro to Psychology.
There are over 100 dual credit courses available to students if they meet the pre-requisites with our college partners Ball State University and Ivy Tech Community College. School Counselor works with students to help find courses that align with their graduation requirements and plans for after high school.
Challenging Honors Courses
High school honors courses are designed to help students quickly master concepts and require a high degree of independence and self-discipline. Both are valuable skills for students on the path to future success.
In honors courses, students:
- Evaluate and synthesize information
- Demonstrate more advanced writing skills
- Participate in honors projects
Who should take Dual Credit or honors courses at INGAS?
To enroll in Dual Credit courses online or honors courses, we recommend that high school students:
- Complete their prerequisites successfully
- Obtain a recommendation from a teacher or school counselor
- Have a strong interest in the subject
*Dual Credit exams are scored on a scale of 1 to 5. According to the College Board, many U.S. colleges grant credit and/or advanced placement for scores 3 or higher.
