Making Connections: Opportunities to Build Friendships Here at INGAS

In June we celebrate National Best Friends Day, a holiday celebrating friendships and forming bonds. Here at Indiana Gateway Alternative School (INGAS), we’ve created opportunities that encourage our students to connect with one another within the virtual school environment. Here are just a few of the ways that you can find your next BFF here at INGAS! 

K12 Zone 

Want to socialize with your friends while at home? Try out the K12 Zone! This online campus is an enriching platform for students to play games and get to know their classmates. This virtual world, which is moderated to monitor student safety, is free to access for INGAS students. 

Online + In-Person Events 

Ready to explore the world? INGAS students can join their friends during the K12 Virtual Field Trips! Throughout the school year there are educational and entertainment field trips to cater to all interests. Check out the upcoming events calendar to register for the next field trip. 

And for students who enjoy in-person activities, we also have that covered. INGAS frequently hosts fun-filled events that are open to students from all corners of the state.  

To wrap up the 2025-2026 school year, graduation students joined their families and staff at an in-person graduation ceremony to celebrate their academic accomplishment and connect with their classmates face-to-face.
